Daum Nancy Wheat Stalks
The Daum Nancy wheat stalks theme is one of their earliest repeating patterns. The wheat stalks are golden and brown with great detail. The rest of the vase tends to be blue with gold enamel work. Most of these date to the 1890 period. The only more recognizable theme that is earlier is the thistle theme. Expect to find Daum Nancy written in gold enamel on the bottom of the vase.
We do buy all wheat stalks vases. We have seen this pattern reproduced. If your wheat vase isn’t marked Daum Nancy then it is likely just a reproduction.
