Daum Nancy Tree Vases
The Daum Nancy tree scenes below are a little bit different from your typical Daum Nancy vase. These vases were actually cast in a mold. Daum Nancy did plenty of tree scenes that were cut and enameled, but these particular cast vases are totally different. The first thing you notice about these Daum Nancy vases are the thickness and roughness. It almost looks like someone dripped wax down the side. The bases aren’t smooth and the colors are always dark.
These Daum Nancy vases are an important part of a collection focusing on all forms and shapes made by Daum Nancy. It is also fun to collect all the different slight color patterns for this series.
